Jonathan 2
Parham is an engineer, sound designer, and composer living
in Manhattan, NY. After completing a Bachelor of Music from
the University of Miami in Florida, he began working as the
audio manager at 2100 Productions-a corporate video production
house.
While at 2100, a wide variety of projects and clients were
served. For the InterVarsity organization's 18,000 member
Urbana conference, Mr. Parham sound designed the Corporate
logo, music supervised many video pieces, mixed four historical
pieces, and composed a musical cue for the promotional recruitment
video.
In 1997, 2100 Productions began to create a six-part documentary
on a historical look at the Bible. Mr. Parham was asked not
only to edit and mix the piece, but also compose a cue for
each thirty-five minute segment. During the opening segment,
'Genesis, the Creation,' he composed a two-minute musical
cue that was ethnic and modern in style. The video segment
received a Telly award in the religious category.
While abroad in 1998, Mr. Parham worked with Middle East Media,
installing a Pro Tools system in their new facility, co-producing
a video documentary, and organizing an introductory training
program for college media students. Also, Mr. Parham has done
video documentary work in Moscow and Kiev.Since 1999, Mr.
Parham has been performing contractual work as a sound recordist
and editor. He has recorded over six independent feature films
including, 'Ms. Wonton' which was a foreign film 2001 Sundance
candidate. Also, he has mixed for the Discover channel's series:
'New Detectives,' 'The Prosecutors,' and 'The FBI Files.'
He has also sound designed two segments of NBC's alternative
sporting event, 'Gravity Games.'

sound as efficiently as possible. When I am sound designing
and composing music, I not only want to 'sell' the picture,
but take the audience to another time and place. . ."
